(My publisher, Timothy Green Beckley, and myself, have just learned of the October 9, 2010, passing of Zecharia Sitchin, perhaps the greatest scholar of ancient astronauts theory ever. The following article was written several months prior to Sitchin’s death but is still relevant as a chronicle of his ideas as well as touching on one of the last books he published, “The Earth Chronicles Handbook.”)

Zecharia Sitchin will be turning 90 in 2010, an important milestone in a life spent explaining human existence in ways that are controversial to say the least. While Sitchin’s work at times flows along lines similar to the ancient astronaut theories of Erich Van Daniken, Sitchin stands alone in his understanding of mankind’s origins and our relationship with the alien race who created us.

The general working structure of Sitchin’s theories are well known in the UFO and paranormal communities. Based largely on his own translation of ancient Sumerian texts, the storyline goes like this: There is an undiscovered planet which follows a long, elliptical orbit, reaching our inner solar system roughly every 3,600 years. This planet is called Nibiru, and is associated with the god Marduk in Bablyonian cosmology. According to Sitchin, Nibiru collided catastrophically with Tiamet, another planet located between Mars and Jupiter. The collision resulted in the formation of the planet Earth, the asteroid belt, and the comets.

Nibiru was occupied by a race of technologically advanced, human-like extraterrestrials called the Anunnaki in Sumerian myth, who are called the Nephilim in the Book of Genesis. The Nephilim first arrived on Earth 450,000 years ago, seeking gold and other precious metals. They began their mining operation in Africa, and along the way created mankind through a method of genetic engineering – crossing their own genes with that of the Homo erectus species already evolving independently on Earth. The resulting hybrid was first used as a race of slave laborers, and according to the ancient Sumerian scripture of the time, the Annunnaki next began to establish the first recorded civilization on Earth, teaching mankind social organization and even intermarrying with the fairer daughters of their own creation. Sitchin believes that the original Sumerian beliefs were handed down to the authors of the Old Testament as well, who told a similar story, for example, of the Earth being destroyed by a flood save for a remnant group of people that included Noah and his family on the Ark.

In an exclusive, in-depth interview on Exopolitics Radio with Alfred Lambremont Webre, former NORAD officer Stanley A. Fulham has stated that a regional galactic governance authority, (the ‘Council of 8’) made a dramatic decision in January, 2010 to put aside the law of non-intervention.

CERN Scientists Eye Parallel Universe Breakthrough

Over the last year I have had a handful of reports being sent to me concerning the strange sightings of large rectangle shaped crafts being spotted.

The people who reported seeing these huge odd crafts were very curious to know if anyone else had reported seeing anything like this or if they were the only ones.

I only have a few of these reports and noted at once that they came from people who lived in isolated areas with limited population to witness these strange UFOs..

All of the reports were similar. The people all lived in rural areas with small populations who witnessed these large crafts late at night. The people all describe the craft as the size and shape of a multi- storied building. They say the craft is rectangle in shape and glows fully in a white light.

The sightings I have had reported all claim that these crafts float by over the tree line as low as 100 feet to claims they were where about as high as a low flying plane would be. There was no sound heard in any of the sightings.

NYC UFOs Ignite Media Frenzy

Curious New Yorkers stopped to look up yesterday as multiple UFOs were visible in the afternoon sky above Manhattan’s West Side. Many called 311 (the city’s help line), the NYPD, and the FAA seeking information about the strange objects. FAA spokesman Jim Peters told the Washington Post, “Every once in a while you get phone calls from people who see something they can’t explain.”

The UFOs were described by some as silvery or shiny, and hovering or bobbing. Some witnesses reported seeing up to 50 UFOs at one point. The FAA said they received reports of something that was “yellow with blue lights surrounding it.” The FAA was unable to detect anything in the sky at the time of the sighting. Many suspect that the mysterious objects were merely balloons, but police are not investigating the incident, and city officials also agree with the balloon theory.

There were several balloons in Times Square yesterday for a 100th anniversary celebration of Madrid’s Gran Via Avenue.

As the sightings were taking place yesterday, the news was almost immediately picked up by media outlets all over the world. This incident is just another example of how mainstream media is giving more attention to UFOs. But with the one-year anniversary of the infamous “Balloon Boy” incident just one day way, and with the repeatedly inaccurate reporting of other stories like the UFOs in China, hopefully the mainstream media will learn that UFO stories require just as much research (perhaps more) as any other news story.

Jackie Gleason Says Nixon Showed Him ETs

Twenty four years after his death, Jackie Gleason is still a household name, and many of the characters he played are legendary; timeless foundations to modern entertainment. Characters like The Honeymooner’s Ralph Kramden and Sherriff Buford T. Justice of Smokey and the Bandit have been iconic molds for characters that are repeated in movies and TV to this day. It is no wonder that such a famous comedian would have friends at the highest levels of society, even Presidents. But would one of his presidential buddies cherish their friendship so much that he would indulge Gleason’s obsession with the paranormal by showing him the bodies of recovered aliens hidden in a US Air Force base?

It was no secret that Gleason was into the occult and the paranormal, although he didn’t like to speak publicly about it. In particular he had a fascination with UFOs. According to Rendlesham witness, Larry Warren, who Gleason had talked with on several occasions, Gleason had a huge UFO library. The library was donated to the University of Miami after his death.

Gleason was a staunch supporter of the Republican Party and eventually became good friends with Richard Nixon. Gleason and Nixon would golf together, and according to Gleason, Nixon shared his interest in UFOs, although he didn’t like to talk much about it. It was during a trip to Florida – to help support a charity event that Gleason was sponsoring – that Nixon decided it was time to show his friend what he was looking for.

Scientist Claims, Strange Signal Comes From Alien Planet

The recent discovery of Gliese 581g, an alien planet in the habitable zone of another star, has been an exciting development for scientists probing the galaxy for signs of extraterrestrial life. At least one claim of a possible signal from the planet has already surfaced – and been met with harsh skepticism among the science community.

This artist's conception shows newly discovered planet Gliese 581g, which has a 37-day orbit right in the middle of the star's habitable zone. The Gliese 581 system and its host red dwarf star is only 20 light years from Earth.

Following the Sept. 29 announcement of the discovery of Gliese 581g, astronomer Ragbir Bhathal, a scientist at the University of Western Sydney, claimed to have detected a suspicious pulse of light nearly two years ago, that came from the same area of the galaxy as the location of Gliese 581g, according to the U.K.'s Daily Mail online. Bhathal is a member of the Australian chapter of SETI, a non-profit scientific organization that is dedicated to research, exploration and education in the field of astrobiology.

"Whenever there's a clear night, I go up to the observatory and do a run on some of the celestial objects," Bhathal told the Daily Mail. "Looking at one of these objects, we found this signal. We found this very sharp signal, sort of a laser lookalike thing which is the sort of thing we're looking for – a very sharp spike. And that is what we found."

When retired from service, Hoover was a leading consultant to organizations including NASA (providing human standards development for Apollo) General Dynamics, McDonnell Douglas and Curtis Wright. Hoover was also instrumental in the development of the first advanced flight instrumentation and of the first flight simulators. A highly decorated pilot as well, he personally logged over 5,000 flight hours in over 100 types of aircraft.

Just hours away from Charleston on a beautiful piece of pastoral land lies West Virginia's Green Bank Telescope. It's one of hundreds of observatories scientists have set up all across the country.

The ultimate dream for astronomers is the discovery of a new planet similar to the Earth populated with advanced beings complete with their own culture. And yet, how would such a discovery affect our religious belief systems?

The official Vatican astronomer announced that other life forms in the universe is a probability, and such a discovery would not interfere with the Catholic faith. Still, I suspect - at least initially - it would turn religion on its head.

Well now that's happened - or at least half of it. Astronomers have found a new, potentially habitable Earth-sized planet. It is one of two new planets discovered around the star Gliese 581, some 20 light years away from our own.

The planet, Gliese 581g, is located in a habitable zone - a distance from the star where the planet receives just the right amount of stellar energy to maintain liquid water at or near the planet's surface. Of course, we don't know if it is inhabited.
